Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

• The Director of Software Applications Engineering will lead and manage Exo’s Software Application products.  As a product design expert he/she will be responsible for ensuring the software design meets the high customer expectations of our products.

• Lead EXO’s product design process, which is customer focused and involves gathering user research, distilling requirements, identifying technical challenges, responding to business needs, and prioritizing feature sets. 

• Manage communication across management and cross-functional product teams to ensure the smooth progress and information flow.

• Hold the design and software engineering teams accountable for quality and timeliness of deliverables.

• Prepare and present crisp and actionable project status to stakeholders and executives.

• Implement data driven design decisions through research, testing, and analytics.

• Responsible for defining the release process and coordinating all of the activities required to bring the product to market.

Education/Experience Requirements:

​

• 10+ years’ experience as a Software Applications Engineer from inception to production with min 5 years leading teams and managing mobile application products.

• Must have prior experience with successfully shipping an App on the App stores.

• Knowledge of design paradigms for mobile application frameworks (iOS and Android) and a passion for creating engaging customer experiences.

• Experience working with design systems, design tools (Figma, Sketch, Zeplin, etc.) and collaborating closely with design teams.

• Good communication and presentation skills and enjoys working with cross-functional, technical teams.

• Problem-solving, time management and organizational skills.

• Knowledge of program and issue tracking methodologies and product development lifecycle tools.

• Undergraduate degree in a relevant field of study required; MBA preferred.
