Principal GPU Software Engineer

Reports to: Chief Technology Officer

 

Job Location: Redwood City, CA

Job Summary:

Exo is seeking a talented GPU Software Engineer to lead development of GPU- accelerated software targeted for real-time medical ultrasound imaging.

 

Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

 

  • Develop GPU-accelerated software targeted for real-time medical ultrasound imaging

  • Optimize advanced beamforming, image forming, image processing, and AI-based signal processing algorithms and software, minimize processing bandwidth and processing power required

  • Practice best design and development standards, produce well-documented software along with test and validation

  • Proactively interface with the engineering teams to ensure all technical aspects of software development are properly communicated to all stakeholders

 

Education/Experience Requirements:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent technical discipline with a minimum of 8 years of professional experience in software development, or a Master’s degree in Computer Science/Engineering or relevant technical discipline with 5 years of software development experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience developing signal processing algorithms on consumer or medical devices

  • Proficiency in C/C++, Open CL, Open GL, CUDA, Vulkan

  • Deep knowledge of current generation CPU/GPU architectures and technology (ARM, NVIDIA, Intel, Apple, etc.) and best practices in parallel computing

  • Ability to work with a diverse cross functional team to quickly understand system inter-connectivity issues and recommend appropriate technical solutions

Preferred Experience:

 

  • Python, a big plus

  • Signal processing experience

  • Algorithm development experience

  • MIPI, PCIe experience
